POET CEO Jeff Broin (nicknamed Mr. Ethanol by Forbes Magazine) will be in Washington, DC this week to speak at two forums about the promise and possibilities for ethanol in a rapidly changing world.
At noon on Wednesday, Broin is the luncheon keynote speaker at the Farm Journal Forum. The Forum is part of the Farm Journal media empire, which includes the Farm Journal and AgWeb. They recently wrote two articles about POET's cob harvest media day: Cob Harvest to be 'History in the Making' and Cash for Cobs. The agenda for the conference includes a conversation with eight former Secretaries of Agriculture.
On Thursday, Broin will speak at the ACORE Phase II of Renewable Energy in America National Policy Forum on Capitol Hill. He is in the "Policy for Transportation Fuels" session along with Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and Former CIA Director Jim Woolsey. The session is chaired by Roger Ballentine, President of Green Strategies Inc. The keynote speaker at the conference is New York Times columnist Tom Friedman.
